  LANDMARK OF THE THREE BORDERS
     

To mark the border, neighboring Estuary of the Iguaçu and cities, Puerto Iguazu and Puerto Franco, had constructed, each one, in its territory, a called obelisco “landmark” that represents, a vertex of an equilateral triangle, symbol of the equality, complementaridade and respect between the three nations. The Brazilian landmark, constructed in rock and cement, and painted with the national colors, establishes the territorial limit and the sovereignty of Brazil with Argentina and Paraguay. It is important historicamente, for the fact of that the city of Estuary of the Iguaçu would have to be developed demograficamente in this region, as determination of the old Military Colony.


The landmark represents a tourist point of most singular of the city. In this place a mirante exists of where if it can observe the Estuary of the river Iguaçu in the meeting of the same with the river Paraná
